Gaining weight and getting fat is not a tough job, yes, it’s really easy getting fat, you really have to do nothing to get there but once you’re there; it’s a straight drop to a pit of harsh comments, jokes, labels and fitness expert desi aunty advice. We at Nutright understand your struggles and we are certain that if you’re reading this, then you are someone who is trying to change, and change only for themselves. Now changing that fat mass is hard work, no mazaak and sometimes you fall and cry and just give up but even in this tough journey, certain things happen that only we can go OH MY GOSH on.
#1. When That Old Kameez Fits To Some Extent
One of the most awful situations that a fat person can go through is putting on clothes and realizing that they don’t fit anymore. You do somehow manage to put that shirt on but then see the layers of fat just about to rip out of the shirt. Yes, the ‘tyres on your belly’. Front and back. So, when a fat person starts changing and they put on that shirt and feel like they can breathe in it is an Oh My Gosh moment.
#2. When You Look At That Purani Tasweer
We all have utterly humiliating pictures of us at one point in life but one day when you are randomly scrolling down your gallery and you come across that one pic in which your cheeks are falling off your face and even wearing black is not making you look thin, you suddenly realize that that was the old you, the new you being a lot better. And O My Gosh if somebody else points out how much you have changed and how wow you look, it’s a feeling like no other.
#3. When You Notice Yourself In the Mirror
Okay, so this one would be more relatable for girls I guess. For those chubba bubba’s who are working every day to change, seeing the change matters, especially if you can see it through your clothes. When you look at yourself in the mirror and the figure in the mirror has completely transformed which makes you say oolala at yourself. If that’s not an O My Gosh moment, I don’t know what is.
#4. When People Tell You That You Are Looking Weak
The word kamzor does not mean anything nice, but for us ‘blobs of fat’ it serves as a huge boost to our esteem and a compliment because what others see as kamzori we see it as our hard work paying off, we see it as getting thinner that people are taking notice of it and we in all our modesty or pure embarrassment tend to say arey nahi yaar, weight tou wahin ka wahin hai when in reality our insides are screaming O My Gosh!
#5. When Other People Look Up To Us For Fitness Advice
For some reason, we feel accomplished when someone asks us for fitness advice especially if it’s someone who’s already thin. When they say stuff like yar koi exercise batao, mere liye diet plan banao it gives us that feeling of being powerful and of some help to somebody and at this point it just hits us that our painful journey changed our body and everyone can see the hard work you put in for it and they now hope you will help them on their journey.
