Taking the Pak Cheen Dosti to yet another level, let us just take a second to thank the ancient Chinese civilizations for coming up with the traditional body clock that believes there is a certain flow of energy in the body at specific times of the day. Each time zone targets a specific part of the body and it is during that very time the specified body organ performs at its best.
Therefore, not only does this help you regulate your food intake timings, it also tells you when you need to workout and when you should be resting. The perfect rule book for a healthy body.
The Early Morning Soldiers
Your lungs are the very first ones to start functioning very early in the morning when usually you are fast asleep. This is the best time to do some meditating and yoga to help you regulate breathing and adding to the overall smooth functioning of the respiratory system. Five o’clock onwards is the time to get rid of all the bodily toxins and relax your insides. Take a drink of detox lemon-water combined with a warm bath. It is after seven in the morning that your body is now ready to finally get some fuel for the day, this is breakfast time. Your stomach is in full motion so make sure you treat it with something high in nutrition and heavy overall (yes, aloo ke parathay in desi ghee would definitely do). To help with even digestion, your pancreas takes it from here till 11 am. You can work around, walk a bit or work out at this time.
The Afternoon Champions
Eleven o’clock onwards up to one in the noon is all dedicated to the heart. A meal which is light in nature but high in iron would do great at this time, you can have some good vegetables and fresh juice at this time of the day. It is also recommended that you get some rest or take a power nap in this time zone to rejuvenate your body and help it perform better throughout the day. After 1 pm is the time to get back to work and help all that lunch digest till 3 pm.
The Evening Workers
Although water is an important part of to be consumed throughout the day, make sure you drink lots and lots of it around 4-5 pm because this is when all that metabolic gunk is being transferred into the bladder via the kidneys. Around seven o’clock, the kidneys are performing to their optimum level so the blood in your body is being filtered and all that kachra is being passed on to the large intestine. This is the ideal time for your body to take in some dinner as well, but we’re pretty sure your Ammi Jaan would question your existence if you take on that.
The Night Shift Workers
Seven o’clock onwards, till 9 o’clock is when all the nutrients in your body are being circulated around and all your bodily enzymes are on duty. For couples who wish to have a child, the females are at a greater chance to conceive during these hours. After 9 pm is when your body needs to relax and prepare for another day, therefore sleep is recommended. Your bladder is at work after 11 pm and the liver takes over after midnight when your body is producing fresh blood cells, so you need to be asleep and not be active on Facebook. This continues till 3 am after which the cycle repeats itself.
Note that for the organ performing at its best in one time zone, at the same time the organ on the opposite time of the clock wheel would be at its lowest performance.
