Previously, team Nutright’s blog section covered moments at the gym that embarrass you or those around you, pretty much everyone’s story when you wish for the ‘zameen phattay aur main andr girr jaoun’ to get true somehow and we all could relate to parts of it. Hence, this time, we decided to dig a little deeper into the gym life for both, the khawaateen as well as the hazraat, and bring to you the top most awkward moments that a typical brown fitness junkie faces every now and then because let’s face it: life is full of awkward times, when all the reaction you can give is a raised eyebrow.
And the gym is clearly no exception for a place. Can you relate to any of these?

Falling off a gym ball
Losing your balance is one of the craziest things that can happen to you, even if no one else is watching (if they are, it’s a double cry) your inner self can be heard laughing and more than embarrassing yourself it’s more like ‘what just happened? I thought I had this under control’ but oh well, there’s a reason gym balls are bouncy.
Trying to race on the treadmill
You would be amazed to find out how many of us actually do this and most of the times, it’s purely unintentional! Unless you are really trying to play Need for Speed with the one on the treadmill next to you. You try to match your speed with them as much as possible, and that happens to the best of us. Turns into a real shughal though if the one next to you is somebody you are friends with.
Getting sweat patches
Are you one of those who just can’t help but sweat heavily? The gym is one place to definitely be sure of that. Because if you can relate to this, you know for sure how awkward it can be when you of all people have visible patches of sweat all over your clothes. That’s when you just want to be anywhere but home.
Eye contact at the wrong timing
Some people get along with strangers at the gym pretty easily, they would ‘walk into the gym like whaddup’ and exchange hellos, bump fists here and there (because hugs are a pretty sweaty business at the gym) make friends easily. Others take their time or may not socialize much. But in either case, when you are stuck in a weird position during exercise, squats for instance, and you catch someone’s eye midway, it’s just plain AWKWARD.
When the treadmill outruns you
If you are a newbie on the treadmill or it’s just the machinery trying to play games with you, how many times do you actually find yourself on the verge and hence jump off to either one of the sides just because it gets way too speedy for you to follow up? Maybe you pressed the wrong buttons? In that case, even more awkward.
