If there was one phrase, along with many other typically desi phrases of course, but like this one phrase that can be heard echoing in every desi household? It’s made up of three words and is none other than: ‘Haye meri kamar!’ No doubt, the number of times we have complained of backache as a nation is huge and gone is the myth that joint pains and backaches have something to do with getting old because hey! Look around and you would find even the jawan nasal groaning because they can’t sit straight and can’t work for too long because ‘haye meri kamar!’. And that is exactly when our uncles and fathers step up to further excite the entire thing by saying they were never even close to these weird aches when they were twenty-two, ‘kamar ka dard hota kya hai, hum tou jante bhi nahi thay’ and all that talk. Then what really is the mystery behind these backaches popping up out of nowhere?
If you are experiencing backaches and it’s without any medical issue that’s understandable for you, do monitor your posture while you walk, stand around and sit. This is very important to track especially if you are doing a job which requires you to work for a long number of hours and your work consists mainly of desk work. Most people slouch a lot when their work demands them to sit for long periods of time. Or if they are fond of gaming and using the laptop while slouching, it can cause back pain.
Never thought of it this way, did you? That the backache that makes you twist and tumble in bed is the consequence of all those suttay that have been with your best friends on lonely nights. Constant smoking thickens the blood vessels, restricting the flow of blood inside the human body and brain. When this is hampered with your back muscles, you stay stiff and find it hard to recover if you have been sitting in an uncomfortable position lately.
If you are dealing with a muffin top, that might be a big reason behind your back pain. People who are obese and carry a lot of fat around the waist area which brings the pelvic area to a bend creating a lot of burden on the lower back. Hence, the pain is there. This is why you need to focus so much on your diet and exercise regularly because with an imbalance of both not only comes obesity but additional aches as well.
Lifting weight abruptly
A very common cause for backaches that the khawateen at our homes experience is that they lift a lot of weight abruptly and that too from an uncomfortable angle. From moving suitcases to heavy furniture and huge dhaighchay in the kitchen, anything can count. You need to be very careful while lifting weights like that because your muscles aren’t used to it.
Lets face it, the kind of lifestyle that we are incorporating daily is nothing to be very proud of because it consists of minimal to no physical activity and is rather gadget-zoned. Plus, the kind of food that we eat is usually without any nutritional value and hence your body is deprived of good ‘fuel’ to keep it going. Unexpected and mysterious aches and joints is your body’s way of telling you something needs to change.
