Many young people complain about not being able to ‘get there’ with their workout routines, even though they do it like crazy and make super certain it’s being done the correct way. Then there are those individuals whose stomachs just ‘don’t feel right’ after working out; they feel nauseous and gaseous. This feeling not only demotivates you for that trip to the gym each day but also takes all that hard work you put into the weight loss game, entirely down the drain.
A major reason behind all this is the kind of food you munch on after you are done with exercise. For the majority of gym junkies, this might not be a great deal at all because you think you know what needs to be eaten, but the list below might as well change that and you might have to reconsider your choices. Take a look!

Chocolate
The funny bit is, so many naujawans would actually resort to this after a workout session in order to gain energy. No, we do not mean to say by any means whatsoever that chocolate does not give you energy. But it definitely doesn’t contain enough for the dose that your body need after exercising. That dairy milk would seem as if it’s giving you a little boost, but in reality, milk chocolate at that time would do more harm with the sugars than good. A healthier alternative, however, is dark chocolate which contains Anti-Oxidant properties that can help your body mend.
Carbonated Fizzy Drinks
Enough with the fancy terminology: Coca-Cola is a big no after the gym, PERIOD. And so is 7-Up and Sprite, not to forget (please) all those energy drinks like Sting and Red-Bull. It won’t give your body wings but would rather drag you to the ground and make you bloated. All the high sugar content is bound to slow down your metabolism and if you are looking forward to some weight loss, bravo! Because those drinks would be successfully thwarting your efforts on the treadmill.
Candy
Please refrain from all sorts of foods that contain refined sugar, with candies and toffees being on the top list. It’s honestly the worst thing you can give to your body when it’s craving for energy and high nutrient food after exercise. Yes, a two-inch toffee goes a long way.
Fast Food
Okay! So you really wish to lose some pounds by the end of this month but guess what? Hardees decides to open just a block away from your gym (Oh, the devil and it’s evil plans!). No matter what it takes, do anything and everything to keep yourself from going to a fast food place after the workout. All those fats are only going to slow down your digestion process, something you aren’t really looking forward to after exercising. But if you really wish to undo all that weight loss progress then sau bismillah jee.
Fried Eggs
So you are heading home after gym and you just basically want no fats coming your way for at least the next five hours, you then feel hungry and as soon as you get home Ammi Jaan makes you your favorite source of protein food: fried anday. You consume it all thinking to yourself ‘Wallah, junior! All that protein was just what you needed!’ Well, what about all those fats Ammi Jaan just cooked those eggs in? You aren’t supposed to have fried eggs after exercise. Take raw eggs or boiled ones instead, they are the real deal.
