Sometimes… Well, actually a lot of times, people would try all sorts of weight loss methods but end up feeling unsatisfied and the needle on the weighing machine just seems to remain stagnant whatsoever. Many of these individuals then think, maybe a crash diet course is really the best and the only option with results guaranteed and they opt for it. What many of us don’t realize that sometimes it really isn’t just those calories you are taking in here and there, rather it is all about the small habits that are making your body not let go of all that fat.
These are rather daily routine habits that you may not even notice are affecting you and maybe dragging all your weight loss efforts down the drain. So maybe it’s about time you take notice of them and change them in order to attain that leaner body you have always been dreaming about.
A Disturbed Sleep Cycle
So let’s get straight to the point about this one, shall we? You are either sleeping way too much or you aren’t sleeping at all. Either way, it is bad for your health and does impact your weight loss game. If you are sleeping less than five hours, with 6-7 hours being the optimum time, chances are you will gain on more fat esp. on the belly area. Quite similar is the case with those who sleep for nine hours or more.
You Don’t Take Any Fats At All
Do you know that not all fats are bad for you? Maybe you didn’t, like many of us. And maybe that is the reason you have been missing out on all the good fats that your body requires to stay fit. There are trans fats or saturated fats that are basically the ones your body doesn’t need. But the energy you require as well as your cell growth function, all is facilitated by good fats which are the unsaturated ones you can acquire from extra virgin olive oil and fish rich in omega threes.
Drinking Too Much Out Of Plastic Bottles
Okay, this one is rather new so do hear us out. A study conducted by the Harvard University a few years back suggested that people who drink out of plastic water bottles are at a higher risk of fatter waistlines as compared to those who don’t. It’s better to be safe than sorry, right? Because we do know how warming up food and eating it out of plastic containers has been stated as a risk factor for cancer. What you can do is, make the most out of your time at home and drink as much water as possible in a glass. Keeping a water dispenser at home is a better option instead of water bottles in the fridge.
Diet Soda Addiction
Let’s just put aside for a while how carbonated drinks are bad for the body when taken in excess etc. and talk about diet soda in specific which many people, esp. the burger awaam feels rather proud drinking. They would ask the waiter at a restaurant for DIET COKE and you’d be like, what are you? Diabetic? Maybe they think they are doing their bodies some good by cutting down on all that sugar. But in reality, these drinks would contain artificial alternatives for sweetness if not sugar, and those literally increase your appetite making you crave more and hence, eat more.
