We all have certain days when we just don’t want to hit the gym and burn some calories or gain some muscle, and it’s completely natural because hey! We’re all humans with moods. For the women folk, they experience such moods, especially when it’s that time of the month’ and we understand how frustrating even the thought of exercise may make you when all you want to do is stay home, laze around, maybe go out for some fresh air and that’s all. No more thoughts about treadmills and dumb bells, hell nah! It’s more of a cheat day from exercise.
However, that might turn into days and weeks and so on and so forth, eventually making you a very lazy person to the extent that you think, who needs gym anyway? Just to keep you in touch with the fitness world and not to let you become indolent completely, team Nutright has jotted down what you can do on such days.
A Brisk walk or just any, on blue days when exercising is not your thing just go out for a walk. Maybe to the market just to grab some groceries or an ice cream cone all for yourself. Or if you have a park nearby where you live or work, spend some time walking there. There are always a bunch of other people too who are busy doing the same, especially in the evening time, so you would have some visual motivation right there because we Pakistanis are a huge fan of the walk as exercise.
Play a sport
You can switch to sports on days when you don’t want to exercise, just so that you stay in motion and your muscles continue getting that physical action that you miss out of from gym. Swimming is very much ideal for men as well as women, plus in this heat, a great swim can go a long way keeping you fresh for the entire day. The dudes can join a Football club that they can visit on and off. You can also prefer biking.
Switch to lighter forms of exercise, such as aerobics and yoga. Videos are available all over the internet, on Youtube, to guide you for yoga positions for beginners and you won’t just feel energized and active physically but your mind too would receive a very peaceful effect, letting go of all that built-up stress from the day before, releasing those happy hormones.
Add some music
Speaking of lighter forms of exercise, Zumba is something you might have heard of and it is the perfect combination of music and physical training. While the music itself has stimulatory and excitatory effects on the body, when you exercise along with the beat it instantly boosts your mood as well and who might know, you may get that motivation to work out back again.
Focus on your diet
Sometimes, it’s okay to take a break from your workout routine, especially when you feel low and don’t feel like engaging yourself in exercise. On days like those, you can concentrate on your diet instead. Eat healthily and manage your portions well. Cook yourself something super healthy and give yourself a treat at home. Always remember, self-care should always be your number one priority.
